Century XIE(謝晶)出生于上海,往返于中國和歐洲。在巴黎最高服裝設計學府之一的Instiut Fran?ais de la Mode專修飾品設計之后,她奠定了獨特的個人風格:裝飾藝術、未來主義和中性的交相輝映。 “和我一樣,現代女性更注重細節和配飾,以此打造與眾不同的個人風格。現代女性擁有豐富多變的靈魂,并用各自的態度、個性化的衣著方式以及選搭的首飾加以大膽呈現。” 在巴黎最有影響力的時尚品牌Christian Dior和Lanvin,Century XIE開始了她的設計事業。更重要的是,她找到了自己事業上的向導:Lanvin首飾總監Elie Top,他的作品激起了Century對首飾設計的熱情,正是在這位大師的鼓勵下,她建立了自己的首飾品牌。 2014年,這位鐘表制造商的女兒懷著對首飾設計一直以來的好奇心,在不經意中參加法國唯 一一個由為巴黎多家奢侈品牌訂制首飾的工作室Edgard Hamon舉辦的高級珠寶設計比賽:Prix Edgard Hamon。憑借與生俱來的天賦、多年來的設計經驗,她將裝飾藝術(Art Deco) 和未來主義(Futuristic)注入自己的第一個中性首飾系列“True-to-Life”摘取專業組唯一大獎,并以此為鍥機在巴黎推出了她的首飾設計品牌 A L’EPOQUE。 在巴黎裝飾藝術美術館舉行的頒獎儀式上,Century XIE從著名設計師Christian Lacroix手中接下這一尊杯。首款首飾系列得到了西方媒體的普遍關注,包括Madame Figaro,Elle France,Vogue France,Style.com和WWD在內的國際媒體都對這位中國設計師贊不絕口,美國時尚媒體STYLE.COM和WWD同時獨家采訪了她。 設計大師Christian Lacroix在WWD的采訪中談到他本人對Century XIE本身和其作品的感受時說:“Clever, Clean and Modern, she just had everything.”(聰明,簡潔且摩登,她全都做到了)”。 在得到巴黎奢侈品百貨Le Bon Marché的邀請后,True to Life系列在2015年巴黎春夏時裝周期間順利完成了首次售賣。 “A L’EPOQUE在法語中的意思是:那一刻。 因為我的設計都來源于親身體驗,那些給我啟迪的人物、地點以及那些我理想中佩戴我首飾的女性。每一個系列都是一個故事‘那一刻’開頭的童話故事。 A L’EPOQUE也就是‘很久以前’的私人版本,個人化的回憶。 A L’EPOQUE就像一句魔法咒語,開啟我的故事、你的故事,并封存于一件精心設計的首飾中,讓往昔記憶由此定格。 那一刻,這三個字擁有古老的時尚魅力,我想以此來表達個人的時尚見解: 奢侈無需關乎時尚,真正的奢侈品,意味著錯綜復雜的感受、共同分享的瞬間、溫馨的回憶、照亮整個世界的私人體驗。” 這是一次美好而堅定的隱喻:無論在過去或未來,擁有勇氣的女性才能在世間擁有獨特而圓滿的存在。 “ A costume jewellery piece is like a novel: it tells a story, the story I want to tell as a designer with emotions and moments I want to share;?I wish the woman who will wear my pieces, will add her own aura, her own interpretation. Designing accessories is for me a way to create pieces that will link my emotions to the ones of others. “ ? Century (Jing) XIE was born in Shanghai and have been living ever since between Europe and Asia. Studying fashion design in Studio Bercot and specializing in accessories at Institut Fran?ais de la Mode, her style can be described as functional, graphic and androgynous. Century started her career working for prestigious Houses learning from famous artistic directors at Dior, Lanvin. Albert Elbaz has been very supportive with Century during those days and was an inspiring person. But above all, she found in this House a mentor, Elie Top: he is the one who enhanced her passion for costume jewellery and this decisive encounter gave her the energy to start her own collection of bijoux.? In 2013, Century won the Prix Edgard Hamon in Paris, the only “Bijoux Fantaisie” competition rewarding the best new jewellery designers. Her style made by a combination of Art deco, futuristic influences and architecture construction blended into her first personal collection, named “True to Life”. Receiving much attention from the Western media like Madame Figaro, Elle, Vogue, Style.com, Century’s first collection was exhibited in Le Bon Marché famous Parisian department store during the Fashion Week 2014. The story of her brand finally started. “ A l’époque came up to me as the name of my brand as I wanted to stress on the point that my creations are a story, my story, the one of the people and places which inspire me, and the one as well of the women that will wear them. Each collection is a tale, a fairy tale not starting by “Il était une fois” but by “A l’époque”. It is my “Once upon a time” in a way.?A l’époque is like a spell which has got the power to encapsulate my story, your story in a jewellery piece and embody an emotion of the past. Those 3 little words with their old-fashioned charm are my way to say that not everything is about fashion and trends but that true luxury stems from meaningful feelings, shared moments, warm memories and a very personal way to shine in this world. “
